Such an authentic Mexican restaurant. Lovely lunch specials, great flan, and drinks. Felt like we were in Mexico. Great waitress. We will definitely be returning.

This review is based on two different times I went.  I wanted to give them a chance and thought maybe the first time was just a bad day for them.

    1. First visit, we were asking the waitress questions about the menu and she didn't even know. How do you work here if you don't know and don't know your happy hour either? After we finally ordered it took forever to get our food. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. I've had much better. We were not checked on at all. We had to keep waving at the waitress to get refills,  napkins, etc. We waited so long for our check and when we got it the happy hour items that she told us about got charged as regular price. When we tell her, she proceeded to tell us that it wasn't part of the happy hour. We all looked at each other and said you told us. We still didn't get it off our bill because get this, she didn't know!

    2. 2nd visit, we went during happy hour and again didn't get the happy hour prices. We kept seeing many tables that came way past us and they all got their food while we waited. The server wouldn't even come to our table for the longest time and finally says that it will be coming out soon. Some of us finally get our food and the rest wait for almost 20 minutes. She never came to check on us at all. We didn't get water refilled, napkins and the fish we ordered wasn't that good. How can you get fried fish wrong???!!  At the end of it all after horrible service we had to wave her down and ask for the check. She finally brings it after about 10 minutes. I noticed she had added 18% tip with only 5 of us at the table. It doesn't say anywhere inside or on the menu that you will be charged 18% tip for this horrible service. They are such bad servers here that they add their own tip. So be sure to check your bill. I wish I had kept it to post a picture of it. When I wave to her again to get her attention she comes over and I ask her why is there an 18% tip on my check. She said to me that whenever the bill goes over 100 that it is Automatic and she has no control of that. So I tell her it doesn't say that anywhere on the menu or anywhere and that this will be my last time coming here. She then asks me if I want it taken off and I said of course!!! No way in hell am I paying anything close to 18% tip for this crap service. So we left without tipping. I was a server before and I rarely and I mean rarely ever not tip. (Two times in my life that I can think of)

Do yourself a favor and go to any other Mexican restaurant and if you don't believe me read some of the other bad reviews. The good reviews must be friends and family. The food is not even anything special. There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants. I will never return. Management needs to hire better service here. I think they are a family business and so that's why they put up with these servers. In the end it will hurt their businesses.

Stopped in for lunch, when you see an old grandma grilling tortillas outfront of the joint, you know you gotta stop.

Food was amazing and fresh, the red and green sauces on the enchiladas were both delicious. to our dismay, the Mole sauce was still being prepared (it takes hours) but it's good to know they make it fresh daily. We will be back for it for dinner! I also heard the table order fajitas el pastor and it made me jealous that I did not think to ask for that.

My wife and I discovered this little gem while we were looking for a place to get some lunch.  The sign over the storefront is misleading, since it reads "Grouper Grill."  We walked in expecting a restaurant like "Grouper and Chips."  We quickly realized our "mistake," but decided to stay and try it out.  Most of the customers were Hispanic and were speaking Spanish--a good sign.  It was clean, and it smelled good--another good sign.
There was only one server/hostess who quickly acknowledged us telling us that we could sit wherever we wanted.  She gave us menus and chips with three salsas, and offered us drinks.
The price range on the menu was quite reasonable with no entree item above about $25.  There was a selection of 8 lunch specials, all costing $6.99 and including rice and refried beans.  My wife chose two enchiladas, one beef and one chicken.  Her selection was quite delicious.  I ordered two octopus tacos.  I was afraid that they would tell me that they were out of octopus.  They didn't and the tacos were spectacular.
I have only two criticisms.  First, the A/C was set too high, probably about 80 degrees, and I was hot.  Second is that this restaurant serves sodas in bottles, so a refill costs extra.  This is going a little far to lower costs.  My recommendation is to air condition a little more aggressively.  Also, invest in a soda fountain and offer unlimited soft drinks.  Almost all other restaurants are doing that without unduly impinging on their profits.  Besides, it keeps the customers happy.
That being said, we paid $20 for our meals and tax.  A real bargain for the quality of our meal.

I was looking for taquerias on yelp and I found this little gem. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip. These are the best tacos ever. I could really taste the flavor of the pork and the steak and they give you cokes in the bottle. The red sauce is really hot so I stuck with the green
